Weddings
—
Making a wedding suit for a groom is a privilege and not a task we take lightly.
It breaks my heart to see a young man about to take the plunge, eyes bulging, half strangulated by a polyester cravat, cheeks burning as he overheats under a heavy, ill-fitting frock coat, tinged with the nervous secretions of a hundred grooms who have hired it before him.
As bespoke tailors we can create whatever you desire.
For grooms like Richard, who’ve had the traditional “Hugh Grant style” English wedding, we’ve cut classic British morning suits and elegant double-breasted dove grey waistcoats.
For Mark, who took the plunge in Florence, we created a glamourous super fitted silk brocade dinner jacket with shawl lapel and black mohair trousers.
For Nick, who got married in Ravello, it was Gatsby all the way, in an unstructured, cream three piece suit in a superfine wool.
We’ve done tweed in the Lake District, velvet down South and tartan up in the Scottish Borders.
You have your ideas, we have ours.
Between us we will make you look awesome on your special day and that’s a Michelsberg promise.
